Photoshoots. Bandmates. And Gratitude.
I have something fun coming up tomorrow. A photoshoot. Which officially marks the beginning of the changes that will be happening around this here website. Being at the World Domination Summit last week solidified a lot of things for me, and the most important one is that I want to be here for you guys in the way that you want and need me to be. And for us all to have a lot of fun while doing that. It feels literally like a million years since my last post. I think because so much has happened since then, and so much learning has occurred. And as I embark on this weekend photoshoot adventure tomorrow, I want to hold in my heart all the gratitude I have for all of you, who’s eyeballs are on this site right now. Thank you for being along for the ride.
It’s Friday. Time for some gratitude.
It’s so easy to be in our heads and think about how much things ARE NOT going the way we want, or focusing on things we DON’T have. So…I’ve decided, that at least once a week, on Fridays, we should all take a minute to focus on things that ARE going well. Things we’re grateful for. I’ll be putting together a list of things that I love. That I’m grateful for. Or happy about. All from this week. I’ll go, then YOU go. Leave a comment on the blog with some of the things you’re grateful for RIGHT NOW.
When all else fails…and especially when you don’t want to…Try gratitude.
Here goes…
I’m grateful for:
Lessons I needed to learn but didn’t know it at the time. Friends from all over the world. Creative collaborations. Pleasant surprises. Doing nice things for people. Birthdays. Guacamole. Pinterest. Meeting new amazing people. Connecting with amazing people I already knew. Belly laughing. Well timed opportunities. My clients. Brene Brown. Chris Guillebeau. Ping-pong. Family. Connections. Emails. A beautifully blue sky with white puffy clouds. The unknown. Lion. Creative spark. Melon suits. Seeing my friends doing amazing things. Nectarine salad. My fellow B-Schoolers. Beautiful weather. New chapters. Being scared by a new idea. Honesty. Self-reflection. A beautiful manicure.
Later today I will be driving about 5 hours east towards Yosemite ish, where I will be spending my weekend. I can’t wait to see you guys upon return. Have an amazing weekend. Learn something new. Love someone in a new way.
Now you tell me what YOU’RE grateful for. Make sure you leave a comment below with your list and if you’re not already on my mailing list…GIT IN THERE so I can tell you when new stuff happens!! And if you want to see what this coaching thing is all about (I mean…total life overhaul, no big deal) click here for a sample session.
Here are some pics from this past week.
TGIF everyone!! Try Gratitude…It’s Friday!
This morning my 16 year old woke me up doing laundry. Right now I’m trying to work (and read blogs) and he’s playing his acoustic guitar in the other room. I’m very grateful he is home making all this noise :-)
I’m grateful for Skype and the sunlight and cheese and chocolate and the deep connections I have all over the world. I’m grateful for music and dance and huggins and laughing til I cry.
I’m also grateful you are in my life Miss Sally.
Sammi….I love this list because I can literally place myself in your house, hearing Chad do all these things. So lovely! (tell him hi for me). And all your wonderful gratefulnesses. Thank you so much for sharing. Much love.
Sally, I’m having such a hard time with gratitude this week, after a friend committed suicide Wed night. The good things in my life still far outnumber the bad, but when one bad thing can completely wrap your heart in darkness, it’s tough to see the light…right now.
(PS: please feel free to delete this if it’s too negative for your awesome, positive page)
Oh Lisa…I’m am so so sorry to hear about this. I can only imagine what it must be like for you right now. And I won’t delete this because it’s 100% ok for you to be where you’re at. Sometimes it’s hard to see the light. And that’s ok. Because that’s human. I’m sitting here with loving thoughts for you. And sending you hugs.
Ummm YES, I am very thankful for ping pong, and more specifically round robin ping pong. :)
I’m thankful for meeting people in person for the first time. I’m thankful for new connections with old friends. I’m thankful for staying up late laughing and talking, running strong on not enough hours of sleep, and being inspired. I’m thankful for Chris Brogan – he’s awesome. I’m thankful for my supportive husband, unexpected support from close friends, and my mom who cares so damn much about my happiness.
I’m thankful for you, Sally, listening to me and making me feel not crazy. I’m thankful for my cozy little home and my blowup pool, oh and Florida sunshine.
Yes, yes, YES! :)
Oh my goodness…ROUND ROBIN PING PONG!!!! That was so fun. And it was so fun being with you last week. And seeing that face in real life! I’m thankful for you too, my dear. Troof.
Love,
S
