So do youz.
Great to see you again, Sally! Sooooo look forward to your new ventures as your old ones have really rocked! Gonna contemplate some juicy questions for you. Looking forward to you sharing your brilliant wisdom with us! yay! xo
It is GOOOOOOOOOOD to be back. Gosh. For reals. And YES! Definitely send me a list of any juicy questions you have. I look forward to what you’re up to this year. 2011 was cool. 2012 is gonna rock too. YEEEEEHAW!
Hello! I’ve been looking through your website here (I’m not a creep, I swear!) and I’ve determined that you are quite awesome. I just wanted to get that out there. I find it pretty inspiring that you are living the way you want to and going across the country to help bring happiness into other people’s lives. I’ll be keeping an eye out for future posts and wish you all the best in your venture :D
Miss Sonia!!! thank you so much for reading and writing in to say hello. I checked out your blog too and LOVE it so far. Your tagline is really cute. I think you’re awesome too and I hope that we can get to know each other a bit better. I hope you sign up for my newsletter so that you’ll know when I have new blog posts up and everything. Either way, drop by often and say hello.
Laid off four days before Christmas. Do you reinvent yourself after 32 years (yes, 32) in the same career or fight to stay on a sinking ship? Whatcha got for us “older” gals, Sally? It’s scary out there! <3
Hey Miss Lisa…first off, I’m really sorry that that happened and that you are having to go through this. I can only imagine what that must feel like, especially during the holidays. My thoughts are with you and let me know if there is any way I can further support you. You ask a great question and one that I will talk more about in a blog, but as I was thinking about what you’re going through, the word opportunity kept blaring in my mind. That perhaps this is an opportunity for you to do something you’ve been wanting to do but never did or could because of your job. Maybe that’s a reinvention, maybe it’s a complete overhaul. I can’t make the call what’s best for you in your life. But I can say that everything is an opportunity to learn and grow. I’m happy to give you some tools to help with this if you’d like. Some exercises that might help you get more clear on which path to take. Email me if you’re interested!! sally@sallyhope.com
More to come on the blog. :)
Will do. It’s amazing how “OK” I am with all this. I’m SO looking forward to new adventures!
Nice to have our Sally back!!
Here’s my Question: How do you get the guts to leave a job you’ve outgrown (and even kinda hate some days), when it’s a bad economy and there is no guarantee about when the next job will come along? It’s scary!
I can’t be the only one wrestling with this one!!
And it is DAMN good to be back. :) This is a GREAT question and I’ll tackle it in a post very soon. But a little hint is that your desire for a better life needs to be greater than your fears for leaving. Fear doesn’t usually go away, so it’s a matter of feeling the fear, and doing it anyway.
Hi Sally, been a while since I’ve left a comment for you. Love all the stuff you’ve been posting regarding your RV adventures. Takes balls to do what you’re doing. Keep kicking ass on the road!
My question for you is…how do you stop years of self loathing? How does one learn to like oneself? That is something I have never experienced but at the age of 41 I’m so tired of the vicious cycle. Here’s to another year wasted of not liking myself and not following through on any of my goals (except one and it took me until December to see it through).
Any advice?
Much love and respect,
Kimberly
Kimberly!! It’s so great to hear from you! It has been awhile, but to be fair, it’s been awhile since I’ve written. So we’re even. :) Thank you for saying hello and you ask a great question that I think will resonate with a lot of people. I will add it to my list for blog topics. Thank you so much for checking in. I’m so sorry that you’ve had a hard year and you even reaching out to ask this question is a first step in having it be different. It takes courage to put yourself out there like this. I look forward to being in much better touch with you this year. Love and hugs sent your way.
Hello Miss Sally and Happy New Year!
Here’s a Q for you: How do I open up to RECEIVE? I find myself doing a lot of “doing” a lot of planning, a lot of worrying…I so often feel like I must “work hard” in order to get what I want in life, and yet the most wonderful things in my life are not the result of controlling, muscling, planning, or even really doing. I truly believe that the Universe has some big gifts in store for me in 2012, so how can I open my heart to receive them, and quiet my bustling doing-planning-worrying so that I don’t miss a gift that’s right in front of my nose?
Another Q, which I think is related to one I saw posted already: I feel like I have a lot of excitement for new ideas and visions…and I have no problem starting things, but when I get deeper into them I lose interest and don’t finish (I’m already off to the next thing to start!)…it may be that lack of confidence is getting in the way of really stepping into my truth, but how do I tell the difference between lack of confidence and “not my true path-ness”?
You rock, m’lady, and I’m SO EXCITED to see what you create in 2012!!!
xoxo,
V
Oh Violet…is this going to be the year that I get to see you again?!?! GEEEEEZZ!! I love your questions. Full of depth. I will be answering them on the blog. But as far as the first one…the things that are coming to you in your life are already set in motion. So this is really a practice of being present as much as possible. Enjoying the moments you’re having now. But I’ll talk more about that on the blog. And….COME VISIT ALREADY!!!
YESSSSSS!!! 2012: The Year of the Violet-Sally Reunion – you heard it here first! Well, I can feel a lot of travel coming my way in 2012 so depending on where you are…that could be our ticket! Or perhaps your RV will rumble my way! Regardless of where in the world, I WILL see you :) Thank you for the reminder to be present…just picked up a couple gifts today that way!
Love Love Love <3
Live in the now!!! hahahhahah. And yes, one of our travels will land each other in each other’s presence. GGM is definitely going to hit Chicago sooner than later, so it’s looking very good for us. :)
